Abstract

A gripping device for cable drawing apparatus consists of links of female and male types 3, 4 carrying packing 30 machined to half the profile of the cable to be pulled in which said packing can slide within said link in a direction perpendicular to the cable travel to prevent deforming the cable. The packing has elliptic holes 35 in which extend circular cross-section pins fast with the link. <IMAGE>
