Abstract
A spring arm 6 is formed integrally with a shutter release member 2 and is energised by operation of the release member during an initial part of an exposure cycle. During a latter part of the exposure cycle, the spring arm 6 is released from the energised position to strike a piezo-electric crystal 30 which energises a flash device. In a preferred embodiment, shown in Figure 2, first and second spring arms, 6 and 7 respectively, are formed integrally with the shutter release member 2, the first spring arm 6 being used to strike a piezo electric crystal 30 and the second spring arm 8 being used to drive a shutter blade 34. <IMAGE>
