Abstract

A balustrade for use with passenger conveyors including a first deck member 10 bent to assume an arcuate shape at landings and having a U-shaped cross-section with its opening facing the center of the arc and deformation preventing strips 10a inwardly bent adjacent the opening defining the inner peripheral portion of the arcuate-shaped section of the first deck member, said top surface of the first deck member at least about the arcuate-shaped sections thereof being secured by welding to the bottom portion of a second deck member 11 at least about the arcuate-shaped sections thereof. <IMAGE>
