See-saws.-In a see-saw of the kind having a rotary motion in addition to the usual up-and-down movement, the up-and-down movement and/ or rotary motion is or are produced by mechanical means. As shown, the bar carrying the seats is fulcrumed upon a pin 14, Fig. 1, which is supported in a bifurcated head 3<a> secured to a rotary shaft 3<b>. The up-and-down motion of the see-saw is obtained by rollers 1<a>, supported in brackets 1<b> secured to the bar, engaging with the undulating surface of a member 4<a> secured to the table 4. In a modification, the up-and-down motion of the see-saw is obtained by the mechanical reciprocation of the seats on the bar. In this case, the seats are mounted on plates 2<h>, Fig. 3, having brackets carrying rollers which engage, with the flange and web of the T-section bar. The seats are reciprocated by rods 38 pivoted to the centres of the foot-rests 2<e> and to members 40, which are pivoted to a sheave 42 rotatably mounted upon a fixed eccentric table 4<b>, the sheave being rotated around the flange of the table by means of an arm 1<d> secured to the bar.
