Abstract

199,216. Daniels, F. W. June 26, 1922. Heating by electricity. -An electric heater located in the induction pipe or carburettor of an internal combustion engine comprises a bobbin D with integral ends, the resistance wires being wound longitudinally thereon as shown, and the whole enclosed in a casing A of copper, brass, or other good conductor of heat. One end of the resistance coil may be earthed to the casing A, or two terminals such as E may be provided, and the plug H and bobbin D are of fireproof and insulating material.
