Abstract

198,711. Campion, P. Dec. 6,1921. Stencils.-Stencil sheets for duplicating-apparatus consisting of Japanese paper impregnated with a solution of collodion or celluloid, are modified by the addition of castor oil to the impregnating solution, for example 40 per cent of oil is added to a 2¢ per cent solution of collodion. One side of the sheet is coated with paraffin, ceresine, or other wax or a fattv substance which maintains the collodion or celluloid coating in a supple condition and serves as a resilient underlay when perforating by means of a typewriter. Alternatively, the wax &c. coating may be provided on a second sheet, the two sheets being used in combination, or the wax &g. coating may be formed on a sheet of Bristol board or other underlay for the stencil sheet.
