Abstract

197,109. Scanes, A. E. L., Pilcher, E. E. I., and Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd. March 3, 1922. Walls.-Cubicles or cells for enclosing electric switching and associated apparatus are constructed of a framework of channel irons 1, angle irons 2, fluted posts 3 and slabs 6 of moulded concrete which is soft enough after setting to be capable of being worked with ordinary tools. These slabs 6 are secured in the channel irons 1 by cement 7. Shelves 8 are supported on angle irons 2. Vertical barriers 9 are supported by means of clips 10, the clips being, as shown in Figs. 3 and 5, formed of two flat pieces 11, 12 spot welded to a distance piece 13, and receiving the barriers 9 between them. A clip for hanging barriers has two side pieces 15, 16 to which are secured flanges 17, 18 for supporting the clip on the shelf 8. The hanging barrier 14 is hung by means of bolts 19 between the side pieces. If no vertical barrier 9 is required above the hanging barrier 14, the pieces 17, 18 may be sunk in the shelf.
