Massage. - An appliance for massage of the scalp, or other parts, with simultaneous application of an oily liquid comprises a bottle 1 having external screw threads 5 at its neck and formed with a bevelled flange 6 and with circular ridges 4 at its base. The cap or closure member 7 is provided with imperforate projections 15 and with perforated nipples 14, and is formed of rubber of such hardness that screw threads 8 on its skirt 9 will coact with the threads 5 on the bottle but soft enough that the threads 8 will yield and slip over the threads 5 if greater force be applied. The bottom of the skirt 9 engages the flange 6 on the bottle. An internal downwardly flaring flange 11 on the cap makes close contact with the inside of the bottle neck so as to prevent access of the contents to the screw threads, and so as to provide an air pocket 11<a> between the flange and the inner face of the neck of the bottle. The inner surface of the cap is made convex at 10 to prevent bulging when inverted in use. The perforations 13 through the nipples 14 have capillary openings to prevent leakage except when in contact with the skin or hair, and the nipples 14 do not project from the cap as far as the projections 15 which give the required frictional massage.
