Abstract

Feeding webs.-The tubular core of a roll of copying-paper is provided with a number of T- shaped or bayonet slots adapted to be engaged by a corresponding numbers of pins carried by a rotatable and axially movable spring-controlled spindle. In the construction shown, three T- shaped slots are provided, each comprising a part c extending from the end of the core b, a cross part c' and parts c<2> returning towards the end of the core. The pins k' project from a plug k fitting the core b and carried by a spindle d mounted in a housing e which is slidable axially in the frame g and may be retained in two positions according to the width of the roll a by a locking-bar h engaging either of two grooves h<1>, h<2>. A spring f retains the pins k<1> in the slot parts c<2>.
