Washing-machines with enclosed rotary receptacles and rollers; two-roller wringers, driving- gear for.-Clothes and cleansing materials are placed in a cylinder A having partially closed ends rotated in a tub G by means of a chain wheel on a shaft F and a chain encircling the cylinder, and having internal circumferential paddles C to feed the clothes to rollers D extending longitudinally through the cylinder and driven by chains J from chain wheels or shafts F, H. This alternating wetting and squeezing is continued until the clothes are then withdrawn as they leave the rollers.
