Abstract

195,189. Finch, F., and Jackson, Ltd., J. Jan. 11, 1922. Alloys.-A copper-tin-aluminium alloy which may contain, for example 8.95 per cent of copper, 4.47 per cent of tin and 86.58 per cent of aluminium, or 10.5 per cent of copper, 5.5 per cent of tin and 84 per cent of aluminium, is made by melting together the copper and an equal weight of aluminium with the aid of a flux of manganese chloride and borax; the alloy so formed is then melted with the tin and the remainder of the aluminium, a flux being used as before.
