Abstract

195,176. Marten, T. H. Jan. 3, 1922. Drawings to Specification. Projection screens have colour elements of different refrangibilty arranged around them to produce visual depth in the projected picture. In one form of the invention the picture area may be surrounded by a black area having coloured lines parallel to the edges of the picture area. The lines contain all the colours of the spectrum, the innermost being red and the outermost blue or blue violet, and are spaced closer together as they recede from the picture area. The picture area may have a blue tone which is strongest at the edges of the area. Various selections of colours may be used, and the colours may comprise only a blue outer line and a red inner line. The colours may be arranged on the screen and be illuminated by projected white lights, or may be otherwise produced.
