Abstract

194,743. Buckley, Ltd., W., and Buckley, G. A. Oct. 12, 1921. Air-heating furnaces.-Air is heated in a pipe or pipes located in close proximity to. a steamboiler or the like and is led through trunks to the point or points at which it is required to be used. In the arrangement shown a series of U-tubes 1 is located in two tiers on either side of the, bottom flue 2 of a boiler 3. The front ends of the tubes are fitted into boxes 6, 7 which are connected to an inlet 9 and an outlet 11 respectively bv pipes 8, 7a. The air is led from the outlet 11 by a duct to a drying room, where cold air may be injected into it to bring it to the required temperature. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 5453/90, 14732/05, and 24064/11.
