Abstract

194,241. Pearce, R. H. Sept. 7, 1922. Mules and twiners.-The quadrant chain A is connected to the quadrant nut B through a spring a<2>. A bolt a is attached to the chain A and slides through a box a<1>. The spring is mounted between washers a<3>, a' and adjusted by a nut a<5>. The head a<8> of the bolt engages between lugs a<9> on the box. The box is provided with a hole a<7> to allow of adjustment of the nut a<5>; or an open link may be used in place of the box.
