Perforated-tube and like multiple-jet burners. -In a gas furnace, gaseous mixture is supplied through tangential mixing-tubes b to annular burner heads a having inwardly projecting flat burner nozzles c formed with narrow slits c<1> of a depth sufficient to prevent lighting-back. Several burner heads may be arranged one behind the other, and when used for heating glass articles, the usual refractory cylinder between the flames and the articles is dispensed with.
