Abstract

18,056. Beaumont, A. Dec. 28. Mixed fabrics; ground weaves.- Fabrics are woven with warps and wefts each of two different materials, such as worsted and cotton, the two warps being warped alternately, and the two wefts being picked - alternately, and the weaving design, such as that shown, is such that the warps and wefts of the inferior material, such as cotton, are hidden in the body of the fabric. In the design, the right-hand and bottom lines represent a worsted warp and weft respectively. Woollen, Angola, or other yarn may be used in place of cotton, and woollen or other yarn in place of worsted in the warp or the weft, or both.
