Blotting - appliances; pens and penholders.- A cylindrical covering g of blotting-paper is detachably secured to the body h of a reservoir or other pen by a head d provided with a projecting threaded part c, which screws into a tapped hole b formed in the end of the pen. The blotting-paper is normally covered by a removable sheath j retained in position by a snap-fastening l, m. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 4, the head d is provided with a tapered portion d<2> adapted to receive the removable cap i, and with a groove d<1> to receive the stud l, which is carried by a spring l<1> and passes through an aperture j<1> in the sheath j.
