Ratchet wrenches.- A ratchet spanner comprises a head D adjustable for position, being pivoted out of centre at C to a shank A between the bifurcated ends B thereof and having a toothed sector D' of large radius adapted to be engaged by either end of a double pawl H pivoted at I to the shank A. The spanner head may have its jaw E at one side as shown in full lines, or central as shown in dotted lines, and this jaw may be adjustable. Separate detachable heads D having different-sized jaws E may be provided. The toothed sector D' is eccentric to the head D.
