Abstract

14,519. Walton, W. H. Oct. 14. Cutting and slicing vegetables &c.-Relates to root-cutting and 'like machines of the disk type having a series of angular blades secured across one or more stepped openings through the disk, in each step of which a blade is fixed, and consists in securing such blades at each end. The opening 8 is bounded on one side by a raised area 5, to which one end 1 of the blade is attached. The blade is bent at 3, passing down through the opening 8 and being secured beneath the edge 9. The surface 5 is either cast on or attached to the disk and is bevelled on its underside 10 from the opening 8 to throw out the cut material, which may be discharged by centrifugal force as described in Specification 1994/14. Radial vanes may be attached to the rear of the disk to assist the discharge.
