12090. " Nesta," Ltd., and Johnson, E.E. Aug. 21. Helical springs.- Noiseless springs for seats, mattresses, &c. comprise one or more end coils a of a certain diameter, and a number of intermediate coils b all of the same diameter but of less diameter than the end coils. The parts c which extend between the coils a and the coils b are of a length equal to about one-third of a turn. The springs may be arranged in groups, the coils a being clipped or lashed together. For large springs, three of the larger coils a may be used separated by two groups of smaller coils b. The springs may be made of wire treated as described in Specification 7328/15. Specification 27,457/08 also is referred to.
