Abstract

11,756. Murphy, P. T. Aug. 14. Funnels.-A storage can or vessel 3, Fig. 2 and 3, for liquids is provided with a hinged funnel attachment 1 the three sides 2 of which fit closely to the adjacent sides of the can, and the can is flattened so as to form a triangular or other side 7, which is opposite to the funnel when this is in the closed position and is provided with a tube 8. A removable stopper 9 is screwed &c. into the tube 8 and has a shank 10, which carries a cap or cover 12 fitting over the outlet pipe 5 of the funnel. The cover 12 serves to exclude dust and to hold the funnel in its closed position when not in use. Fig. 5 shows a cylindrical can 3<1> with a hinged cup-shaped funnel 1<1> and an outlet tube 8 in the top 7<1>.
