Abstract

7891. Perrier, A. May 27. Carburetting.-Relates to a plant of the kind described in Specification 3036/12 for making gas from benzol, wherein air, pumped by bellows, 7, is heated by contact with the engine 6 by which the bellows are operated, and the heated air is passed through pipes 11, 11' to a carburettor 1 containing plates of gauze and porous material, the excess benzol being pumped from the bottom of the carburettor and returned through a pipe 15 to the reservoir 3, and the gas being passed through a pipe 13 to a holder 23, which in its highest position closes a valve 20 on the air-pipe 11. The hot air is now led through a pipe T in the reservoir 3 to warm the benzol, and the benzol is fed to the carburettor through sight-feeds 5<a>.
