Rolling-machines. -Relates to dough-moulding machines of the type comprising pairs of superposed bands running in opposite directions at different speeds and passing over shaping-blocks, and consists in the provision of sectional shaping- blocks adjustable laterally to vary the shape of the pieces of dough. Fig. 2 shows one form in which bands a, c and b, d pass respectively over upper and lower sets of shaping-blocks carried by moving bands driven positively by pins q on the driving- pulleys engaging holes or eyes in the bands. The blocks are in laterally-adjustable sections r, s, t, which are mounted on separate bands. The upper set of blocks are rounded. Figs. 3 and 4 show a modification in which bands 37, 38 pass over stationary shaping-blocks comprising side members 47, 48 adjusterable laterally by screws 49, 50, and central members 51 adjustable vertically by eccentrics 52. At the entrance to the moulding-channel, the bands pass over boards 43, 44, between which are arranged knives 45. According to Provisional Specification 7743/15, the various bands and shaping- blocks are separated by thin iron or steel bands. Specification 11,724/14 is referred to.
