Abstract

4965. Green, E., and Green, A. M., [trading as Warner & Green]. March 31. Stud-and-slot fastenings.-A fastener for watch wristlet straps &c. comprises two metal pieces a, a<1>, Figs. 1 and 2, the piece a having a strap-attaching slot g<1> and a semicircular slot d with an enlargement b at one or both ends, while the piece a' has a stud c, turned-over ears f, and two slots g forming a slide by means of which the piece may be adjusted on the strap. For engagement, the stud c is passed through one of the holes b and moved into the narrow slot d, the piece a being engaged under the turned-over ears f to prevent side play. The fastener is attached to the strap as shown in Fig. 4, the piece a being attached to one end of the strap, which is passed through a metal loop on the other end, and turned back to engage with the piece a<1>.
