Abstract

2257. Ingham, S. Feb. 12. Joints. - The metal jointing-members for the wooden framework of bedsteads, tables, chairs, &c. are designed to avoid cutting or making recesses in the wood, and comprise sleeve brackets 1, Fig. 1, for the pillars formed with arms 2 having dovetailed recesses 3, and channel-shaped members 6, Fig. 3, for the rails having dovetail projections 9. The members are secured to the pillars and rails by screws passed through holes 5, 10, and are provided with bolt-holes 11. Sleeve members having bases are provided for the feet of the pillars.
