Sound magnifying and directing appliances.- A sound-regulator for gramophone horns, speaking trumpets, &c., consists of a valve on a rotary transverse spindle 5, which may project through the side of the horn and be fitted with a handle 3, or may be carried by a frame which is slid into the horn. The valve consists of a disk 1 having apertures 7, Fig. 7, adapted to be covered more or less by rotatable arms 9 or other means. The disk 1 may be held against an elastic packing 10 or a frame carried by the spindle 5.
