Abstract

Surface-tension separating processes.-Products obtained by treating hydrocarbons, particularly unsaturated hydrocarbons, with sulphuric acid are employed as frothing-agents in frothflotation processes of ore concentration. Acid sludge obtained in refining hydrocarbons may be used. The products may be allowed to stand for some time before use, or may have been mixed with water for some time. Specifications 7803/05, 2359/09, 16,141/13, 21,650/13, and 19,855/14 are referred to.
