Abstract

19,444. Bowden, F. Sept. 4. Couplings, non-automatic.-To allow of-lateral as well as vertical flexibility in a screw coupling- chain, the usual trunnions formed on the nuts which engage the screw-threads are dispensed with, and each nut 10 is formed integrally with a link 11 which .engages the coupling-link 12 or the link 13 for attachment to the vehicle. The bow portion of each link 11 is broadened as shown at 14, is made convex on the inner side 16, Fig. 2, and is formed with inwardly projecting nibs 15 engaging the end of the adjoining link 12 or 13.
