Abstract

[Cognate Application, 22,067/14.] Jacks. - A lever jack, more especially for motor-cars, is provided with a rolling fulcrum engaging the ground or the like, and is made of levers in one piece or jointed together so that when brought from an inclined to a vertical position, lifting takes place. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the lever 1 has a rolling fulcrum 7 and a socket for an operating- handle 9. Jointed to the lever 1 is an arm 2 cupped to engage the car axle. On moving the handle down from the position shown, the arms 1, 2 straighten and lift the axle, stops 10, 11 limiting the movements. In the form shown in Fig. 4, the lever is formed in one piece with a rolling fulcrum 7 and a socket for an operating-handle 9.
