Shuttles.-A threading-plate arranged to direct a loop of weft through the shuttle eye comprises a vertical part 6 lying in a narrow longitudinal groove 2, and a lateral part 7 lying in a groove 3 running to the shuttle eye. The part 6 has an inclined edge 6<a> and is provided with a slot 6<b> leading to an aperture 6<c>, through which the weft runs during the normal working of the shuttle. The threading-plate has an extension 8, which projects into a recess at the side of the groove 2 remote from the shuttle eye. A vertical pin 12 arranged behind the aperture 6<c> takes the rub of the weft during the working of the shuttle.
