Golf clubs.-The striking-part a<3> of a golfclub head is separated from the main part of the head bv a saw-cut a<1> terminating in a bore a<2>, and a thin sheet of rubber b is placed in the saw-cut and is retained therein under considerable pressure by means of a riveted staple c. The arrangement allows the rubber to be further compressed on impact with the ball. In a modification, Fig. 3, the part a<3> is entirely separated from the main part of the head and is retained in position by means of screws d.
