Abstract

14,699. Adnitt, W. D. June 19. Hand-stamps; number-printing apparatus.- -A hand-stamp for printing a series of names, numbers, &c. comprises a chain D of channelshaped type-carriers mounted on rollers C, C<1> carried on a frame B and adapted to be fed on the reciprocation of the frame by means of a spring pawl c<2> and ratchet-wheel c<1>. The pawl is carried by a lever b, the end of which engages a cam-plate a which can be adjusted for printing more than one impression from a line of type. The chain may be endless, as shown, or wound from one roll to another.
