Abstract

Busks.-Wire lacing-busks for corsets &c. are bent into a series of loops a, Fig. 5, and sewn into a bight of the fabric b by lines of stitching m, j, g passing through all the folds of the bight. One fold may be lengthened to underlie the wire loops and the laces. The loops may be formed by bending the wire as shown in Fig. 8, and some may be bent into hook shape j, Fig. 7, the arrangement in this case consisting in staggering the loops on the opposing wires so that one lace only may be used.
