Hyposulphites.-In the production of anhydrous hyposulphites as described in Specification 14,424/13 by evaporating a solution together with an organic base in vacuo white stirring, a specially stable product is obtained by evaporating the greater part of the water in a high vacuum at, for instance, 30-35‹ C. and then removing the remainder of the water at 60-65‹ C. in a suitable vacuum, the organic base, such as aniline or toluidine, being then removed at a higher temperature as. described in the above-mentioned Specification.
