1859. Kersten, J. Jan. 25. Alkali meta-silicates.-Alkali meta-silicates, for use in glass manufacture, are produced by dissolving crystalline silica in alkali lyes under a pressure of about 25 to 30 atmospheres at a temperature of 100-300‹ C. Specifications 2756/62 and 3501/67 are referred to.
