Description
Patented May 22, 1923.
ALBERT ANDREW KELLY, OF LONDON, ENGLAND, ASSIGNOR TO BOB-AX CONSOLIDATED LIMITED, OF LONDON, ENGLAND, A BRITISH COMPANY.
FLUX. 0R SOLVENT FOR USE IN TECHNICAL PROCESS.
No Drawing.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT ANDREW KELLY, a subject of the King of Great Britain residing in London England, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Fluxes or Solvents for Use in Technical Processes, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in the manufacture of vitreous materials according to which sodium decahor'ate is substituted for borax and/0r boric acid any necessary adjustment of the alkali content being made in any suitable manner".
I have found that by the use of sodium decaborate a much more satisfactory product with freedom from strize is obtained,
Application filed September 16, 1920. Serial No. 410,787.
than is possible under the present systems of manufacture.
I claim:
1. A vitreous material comprising sodium decaborate as aconstituent therein.
2. A vitreous material including a flux consisting of sodium decaborate.
3. A process of making vitreous material comprising using sodium decahorate as a flux in the process.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in the presence of two Witnesses.
ALBERT ANDREW KELLY.
Witnesses:
J CIBBU, H. E. GoUGH.
