12,079. Kristensen, S. A. C. Oct. 28, 1913, [Convention date]. Fabrics coated successively with adhesives and powdered materials; compound fabrics. - Fibrous and felted substances, such as paper and hide. are rendered fire-proof and waterproof by coating one or both sides with mineral powder, preferably aluminium powder, using water-glass as adhesive. The material may be strengthened before coating by a layer of wiregauze attached thereto by sewing or by waterglass. The material is stated to be applicable to coverings for walls or furniture, balloons, aeroplanes, boats, packing-cases, boxes, trunks. floor and stair coverings, soles for footgear; and tyres.
