[Addition to 10,131/13.] Railway-carriage closets; non-contact closets; basins.-To the closet described in the parent Specification is fitted a securing-device for the basin operated by the foot-rests. When the basin is in lowered position for the use of orientals, the foot-rests g are at the front, but after the basin has been raised, they are turned on pivots through 180 degrees. During this movement, lugs q on the foot-rests contact with quadrant - shaped pieces n which are pushed into recesses s in ribs r and so support the basin.
