Abstract
11,401. Loziano, L. May 9, 1913, [Convention date]. Actuating. - A valve device, particularly applicable for use with gas-heated water-heaters, comprises a lift valve coupled to an armature adapted to attract a permanent magnet pivoted to a valve arranged in a second fluid-conduit. The valves k, l are normally held to their seats by springs r, s and are arranged in separate chambers t, u formed by a partition g secured between the two parts a, b of the casing by bolts h. The valve k is provided with an armature m protected by a flexible diaphragm q, while the valve l is pivoted to the poles of a pivoted horseshoe magnet o. Fluid entering through the conduit c actuates the valve k, to bring the armature sufficiently near the magnet for this to operate and open the valve l.
