9965. Gray, E. E. April 22. Clamps.-A screw clamp is provided with a nut chamber having its interior formed by two surfaces each eccentric to the screw and providing at their meeting line a projection 7<e>, by means of which surfaces and the projection, the half-nut 9 is held in or out of engagement with the screw 8. The nut 9 is adjusted by means of a radial projection 9<a> extending through a slot 7<d> in the nut chamber. The threads of the nut are of full depth on one side and gradually diminish in depth towards the other side. An opening 7<c> enables the nut to be removed when the screw 8 has been withdrawn from the nut' chamber.
