In the form shown in Fig. 1, the holder b is attached to a yoke d carried by a sleeve c, which is screwed on to a tube t, and the cover e rests on the yoke d and is clamped by means of a nipple c<1>, which screws over the sleeve c. Binding-screws a accessible from the outside of the holder are provided for the supply wires w which pass down the tube t. In a modification, the holder is suspended by a cable made up of two supply wires attached to binding-screws as before described, and a third wire fixed to an eye on the yoke. In the form shown in Fig. 4, the holder b<1> is fixed to a support having a projection d<1> for retaining the cover c<2> in the displaced position. In a further modification, the lower end of the cover may support a shade. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also means for fixing the cover in different selected positions. In one arrangement, the cover is fitted with a plug which screws on a sleeve adapted to slide on a tube supporting the holder. A longitudinal tongue formed by slitting the sleeve may be clamped against the tube by a set-screw so as to fix the cover on the tube. In a modification, the set-screw may engage the tube directly. The cover may be flared at its lower end to form a shade. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
