8033. Johnson, J. Y., [Temperite Co.]. March 30. Razors, safety. The guard has turned - up portions 4 on the edge opposite the guard teeth, between which a projection 7 on the blade engages, and a cover-plate with clips 10 engaging the underside of the guard secures the blade. The guard may be formed with a single turned-up portion, and the blade with projections, Fig. 8, engaging it on each side. Stops 6 may be formed on the blade or guard, or on both, to act as stops for the clips 10 of the cover-plate. Projections may be formed on the guard to support the blade near its edge. The end teeth 3<a> on the guard are longer than the others, and are curved upwards to space the blade from the teeth 3.
