7190. Judge, L. L. March 21. Mattresses.-The bottom of a bedstead is formed with two open-work supports to carry two mattresses and is mounted on a central axis so that it can be turned over. The frame is formed of two end channel-irons 4 connected by tubular rods 5 and wire surfaces 9, and it is carried on a central axle 10 supported in thimbles 13 mounted in the bedstead frame. Wedge-pieces 20 and movable pins 17, connected to the thimbles 13 by plates 15, hold the bottom in either of its two positions.
