5147. Lucock, J. S. Feb. 27. Coating - compositions. - A composition for maintaining the brightness of steel and other metal surfaces consists of liquid paraffin, starch, and alum. The starch and alum are mixed with water, the water is evaporated, and the residue is mixed with the paraffin at about 110‹ F. The liquid is strained when cool.
