4795. Everall, W., Powell, H. J., and Hospitals and General Contracts Co. Feb. 24. Bed-lifts. - An apparatus for lifting invalids from beds comprises four upright telescopic rods a which are mounted on spindles c, secured to the bed frame by brackets n, so that they may be folded under the bed when not required. Bars c' connect the spindles c and support a spindle h, rotatable by a handle e and worm gearing g, which carries winding-drums i to which cords j are secured. The cords j pass over pulleys b at the top and bottom of the rods a and are connected to a frame k supporting canvas sheets.
