3421. Cruikshank, P. Feb. 10. Chimney tops. - The shaft of a chimney top has upright top and bottom portions a, e respectively, with the same axis, a middle upright portion c the axis of which is at a distance from the axis of the top and bottom portions, slightly greater than the diameter of the shaft, and inclined portions b, d connecting the upright portions. A removable cover f in the inclined portion b facilitates cleaning. A solid block at g, between the portions a, e, and webs h, i are provided to strengthen the top. According to the Provisional Specification, the portions b, d may be inclined at twelve degrees.
