Chimney tops. - A sectional chimney pot consists of a number of superposed elements, e a c h having a cylindrical part a<1> and a slightly tapering part a<2> connected by a shoulder slightly inclined to the horizontal. The .sections are proportioned so that the outer and inner parts form, in effect, two concentric shafts with narrow annular slots interrupted only by the ribs b which separate the sections and support them. The pot may be surmounted by a cylindrical cap c or by a mushroomshaped hood. The pot may be built up of separate sections, which are connected by ribs b on the lower edges of the parts a' or on the shoulders. In modifications, the sections are connected by interrupted screw-threads or by bayonet-joints.
