The fabric 3 is first folded around the reglets 4, the reglets are then inserted in the overturned edges of the plates 5, the overturned edges of the plates 5 are placed within the overturned inner edges 6 of the frame 1, and finally the outer edges of the plates 5 are forced over the upturned edges 7 of the frame 1. The device is suitable for tensioning cloth for embroidery.
