Hulling, husking, and decorticating.-In a machine for decorticating nuts, fruit, and seeds, of the type described in Specification 5686/13 comprising a stationary or rotary drum a furnished with knives or pins l against which the nuts &c. are thrown by revolving blades h, these blades are set at an inclination to the vertical to cause a down-draught through the machine. The cover m is made in two semicircular parts and provided with apertures for the admission of the air, which carries the husks past the false bottom f, which retains the kernels, to the outlet apertures p.
