Stud-and-slot fastenings.-In a stud-andsocket fastening of the kind in which a shouldered stud 6, after being inserted through a hole 1 in the socket just large enough to receive it, is passed along an extension 2 and engaged by a smaller hole 3, the spring 8 is arranged on the socket plate a, being either separate therefrom, as shown in Fig. 1, or formed out of it by stamping.
